At the Data Seminar in Tartu (at the University of Tartu, in March 2024), we had the opportunity to converse with various attendees, including Rashali Pieris. Rashali, who is currently pursuing studies in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, expressed a strong interest in staying informed about the latest developments in the artificial intelligence field.

Rashali is particularly passionate about topics such as Trustworthy and Responsible AI. She emphasised the importance of ensuring AI technologies are used ethically and responsibly. Additionally, she demonstrated a keen awareness of the implications of the EU AI Act and its impact on the usage of AI technologies.

It is inspiring to witness Rashali’s dedication to utilising technology for the betterment of society. Her commitment to remaining informed and contributing positively to the advancement of AI is commendable.
