Telefónica is the WP5 leader within the SPATIAL project. The aim of WP5 is to create and construct the necessary infrastructure to support the implementation of each pilot and deploy the specified use cases on this infrastructure. The objective is to execute the use cases using actual user traffic or endpoint data and evaluate the defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to confirm the outcomes.

The main focus is providing detailed reports on the technology integrations that will be carried out separately for each pilot and thoroughly verifying the system’s functionality based on the specifications outlined in WP1. Consequently, the efforts are directed towards the following:

  • Deploying and integrating the infrastructure within the network.
  • Deploying and integrating artificial intelligence (AI) components and use cases.
  • Conducting demonstrations on each pilot and extracting KPI values that demonstrate the contributions made by SPATIAL.

The work package consists of four tasks, each corresponding to a pilot. For each use case, every pilot will showcase a demonstration. Industrial partners involved in piloting the SPATIAL technology within these four tasks will provide their respective testbeds for experimentation and validation.

In this interview, we discuss Souneil Park, the main objectives and activities of your WP5, What has been done so far, and the next steps? How does the WP5 fit with the other activities of the project? He also presents the Privacy-preserving AI on the Edge and beyond use case (goals, challenges, impact, etc.).
