WP4 aims to enhance the digital processing capabilities of components by achieving improvements in various aspects, such as the scope of operation, operation latency, throughput, and energy efficiency. These improvements are necessary to meet the architectural requirements outlined in WP3. The development of virtualization capabilities within this work package addresses the new demands for accelerators, including resource disaggregation and the ability to host multiple tenants. Additionally, throughout these advancements, utmost importance is given to integrating trustworthiness primitives at all levels, ensuring that security and privacy are considered fundamental design objectives from the outset.
In our conversation with Jason Pridmore, WP4 leader (Erasmus University), we gained valuable insights into the main aims and objectives of WP4. We talked about the advancements made thus far, specifically addressing the tasks completed and how they fit with other project activities.
